Anxiety-rock from the twilight years of the 20th Century. Members of The Panic included Marijo Dunn (vocals), Jasmine Dreame Wagner (guitars), Dan Bailey (bass), Doug Hodges (drums), Sammy James Jr. (drums), and Stephen Dirtybomb (drums). Shortly after recording and self-releasing their self-titled album, members split off in various directions to perform in Cabinet of Natural Curiosities, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, and The Mooney Suzuki. "The Panic" was recorded in 1998 by Jay Braun (Norah Jones, John Spencer Blues Explosion, Fiery Furnaces).
lyrics
Kathleen
Caught you again, you're looking her way
Didn't know what more to say
Is she good, boy, is she bitter
Does she eat you up inside
Does she eat you up
Does she eat you up
Is it her smile that makes you cold, boy
Makes you feel so in between
Will she fade as she grows older
Will I ever seem so clean
As when she's all made up
When she's all made up
Kathleen
Is she what you want, boy
Kathleen
She's on your mind when you're next to me
Kathleen
How does she move that makes you certain
She's the one you feel inside
Does you work to make you motion
Does she steal away all your pride
When she's all done up
When she's all done up
Kathleen
Is she what you want, boy
Kathleen
She's on your mind when you're next to me
Kathleen
Caught you again, you're looking her way
Didn't know what more to say
Is she sweet, boy, is she conscious
Of the way she drags you in
'Cause she always wins
She always wins
Kathleen
Is she what you want, boy
Kathleen
She's on your mind when you're next to me
Kathleen
